A large percentage of NDA's are harmless and despite all the legal language, it doesn't usually include anything that will harm you. The objective is to have a document in place to protect both parties and a business' confidential information. Most of us sign them on a regular basis. It's how we keep deal flow going. That doesn't mean you shouldn't read them carefully and watch for 'sneaky' non-compete language. This is a discussion on Confidentiality, the NDA, Non-Compete and Non-Circumvent language and things to watch for.
